I am little confused here. I have linux laptop, where I am trying to
build wpa_supplicant 0.7.3 to use it as an wireless ER. So does ER send
and receive only IP packets for both wireless or UpnP version?

For wirless ER my understanding was its still need to send wifi frames
using the wireless chip.

Regards
Soumya

No, it is fine to use ER commands on top of any driver wrapper.

device?

ER does not need to talk to the device for anything else apart from
sending out and receiving IP packets.
