Unstable Wi-Fi connectivity (Laptops/iPhone/Android/WP7)

Hi,
I am using Gumstix Overo Air/Fire modules. Overo WiFi solution is based on Wi2Wi [1] (based on Marvell 88W8686). The standard drivers (libertas) do not support AP/Master mode. I had to move libertas_tf (Libertas Thin Firmware). It does have modified Marvell firmware also. As I understand this driver is not fully implemented, but enough to work quite stable. Currently I included hostapd 7.0.3 into our custom distro.
I do tests with MacBook, iPhone 3G  and Ubuntu laptop. While I use the system I am very sure that 98% it's stable (2% I do get those problems too, very rare).
We do another tests in different location and we used different laptops, iPhone 3GS, Android, and WP7 phones. And we are having tons of problems. WiFi is very much unstable, especially with WP7, we noticed that response from our servers on WP7 takes a lot longer. Other than lat with laptops it had least problems, mostly none. I figured that it might be PSM (Power-Saving Mode), but I am not fully sure, e.g., my iPhone 3G works mostly flawlessly, the same is with Linux laptop with power management on.

I did some Googling, looked through bug tracks and found that people do have these problems, but there are no solutions that truly helps. Any thoughts?
