Hi,

Can I perform pre-authentication if my second AP is a switch(CiSCO 2960G switch) rather than wireless router?

-Thanks.

Hi,

I found one link in which you have successfully done pre-authentication.
http://lists.shmoo.com/pipermail/hostap/2005-November/011984.html

So in this case, do I have to run hostapd on Current AP OR client mobile(which uses wpa_supplicant)?

-Thanks.

If you are talking about RSN pre-authentication: none. The RSN
pre-authentication packets are normal data frames that the current AP
would forward to the destination address as any other data frame.
