DWA 520 with hostapd

Hi all,
Please anybody can tell me whether DWA-520 (chipset: atheros 2414) works
with hostapd or not?

I have to purchase  wireless card which can work with hostapd to setup RSN
pre-authentication. I asked a number of distributors about atheros based PCI
wireless cards but they say almost all of them are at end-of-life.
