Sorry, I never found the time to really look at your patch even I had
marked it so. 

But I want to comment anyway that I'm a bit skeptic on relying on the
noise value as not all drivers provide it accurately. For example, in
wl1251 I never found any reliable information how to calculate the
noise so I was forced to make wild guesses.
