WPA supplicant control library licensing

Hi Alll,

The Licensing on the preamble in the header and the source files of
the ap control interface suggests that  the wpa supplicant control
library interface can be used  based on BSD licensing.
We intend to use an application which uses  the api's exposed by wpa
supplicant. I just wanted to confirm that this client to the interface
need not  be GPL compliant as it can use BSD.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
