Hello!
I'm trying to create a 5GHz (only) 802.11N access point.
My kernel is 2.6.27.8
I have the April 26, 2010 version of compat-wireless
I have libnl-1.1
I have hostapd-0.6.10
I have iw-0.9.19
My wifi device is a Linksys/Cisco WMP600N (PCI) Dual-Band N
When I run hostapd, I get this error:
Configuration file: /etc/hostapd.conf
wlan0: IEEE 802.11 Configured channel (44) not found from the channel list of current mode (2) IEEE 802.11a
wlan0: IEEE 802.11 Hardware does not support configured channel
Could not select hw_mode and channel. (-1)
rmdir[ctrl_interface]: No such file or directory
Here is my /etc/hostapd.conf (comments removed):

It appears to me that channel 44, which I think is an "a" channel is supported. Any idea what the underlying error might be?
