Hi all, having a problem with clients not connecting or sometimes
evening "seeing" the wireless network, w/hostap in AP/master mode and
ath5k driver
kernel 2.6.33.1, hostapd 0.7.1 w/nl80211 driver
lspci:
02:04.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212
802.11abg NIC (rev 01)
/etc/hostapd.conf:
interface=wlan0
bridge=br0
driver=nl80211
logger_syslog=-1
logger_syslog_level=2
logger_stdout=-1
logger_stdout_level=2
dump_file=/tmp/hostapd.dump
ctrl_interface=/var/run/hostapd
ctrl_interface_group=0
ssid=network
hw_mode=g
channel=3
beacon_int=100
dtim_period=2
max_num_sta=200
rts_threshold=2347
fragm_threshold=2346
macaddr_acl=0
auth_algs=3
ignore_broadcast_ssid=0
wmm_enabled=0
eapol_key_index_workaround=0
eap_server=0
own_ip_addr=127.0.0.1
wpa=2
wpa_passphrase= <lol...>
wpa_key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
rsn_pairwise=CCMP
I've tried connecting my roku box, and a linux client w/wpa_supplicant
(version 0.7.1).
The roku box does not "see" the AP (detect the ssid), and the linux
client sometimes cannot see the AP and when connects, system logs show:

In other words it's trying to connect and then the EAPOL-Key exchange
does not work? Where do I start on this?
Thanks,
David
