fast roaming with hostapd and wpa_supplicant

I'm wondering if anyone actually managed to get "fast roaming" to work as described in:

Which linux driver actually supports 802.11r?

If anyone had success with fast roaming, I'd really appreciate if you could share:
1) hardware devices used (driver + model name)
2) config settings of both wpa_supplicant and hostapd.
