Associate a security AP with a wrong password

Hi,

Can wpa_supplicant indicated password error when i associate a
security AP with a wrong password?

When i use wpa_cli enable a network via "ENABLE_NETWORK $ID" command,
it just show back "OK".When i config a network with a wrong passwork
on purpose, it can't show me the password is error.

Where can i edit the code to add some fail reason of association?
