Loss of SYN+ACK packets through wpa_supplicant

wpa_supplicant has nothing to do with actual transmission of reception
of data frames, so it sounds unlikely that this would have something to
do with wpa_supplicant. It sounds more likely of an issue somewhere in
the kernel driver or networking stack.
