Station connection trigger events...

I'm wondering if there is any way for an external process/script to capture 
some kind of event from hostapd whenever a device successfully connects to 
hostapd. Right now I periodically send the SIGUSR1 signal to hostapd and then 
I parse the hostapd.dump file looking for the "STA=" string.
