WPA2 connection issue on embedded ARM system

Thanks for analyzing this!

Just to see if I got it right:

AP is successfully found

1255399012.353393: Trying to associate with 00:1f:3f:12:fa:7d 
(SSID='WLAN-001F3F12FA7D' freq=2462 MHz)

then it tries to associate with a timeout of 5s

1255399012.355743: Association request to the driver failed
1255399012.355804: Setting authentication timeout: 5 sec 0 usec

and after 5s there is a timeout

1255399012.356262: Wireless event: cmd=0x8b04 len=12
1255399017.361175: Authentication with 00:1f:3f:12:fa:7d timed out.
1255399017.361297: Added BSSID 00:1f:3f:12:fa:7d into blacklist

?

Anybody with any idea how to further debug this? Could this be a wrong 
'psk' in wpa_supplicant.conf? I double checked it two times, though...
