Tonight I setup a router at home using ddwrt. I create a number of 
visible & hidden network with varying security profiles.

Just as on the corporate network, the "iwconfig wlan0 essid MYSSID" did 
*not* let me use the hidden network, so it's starting to look as if 
hidden ssid id is not working in the current iwl driver.

I also noticed (this time with NM) the following errors trying to access 
the hidden network

wlan0: direct probe to AP 0e:18:84:28:61:61 try 1
wlan0: direct probe to AP 0e:18:84:28:61:61 try 2
wlan0: direct probe to AP 0e:18:84:28:61:61 try 3
wlan0: direct probe to AP 0e:18:84:28:61:61 timed out

If we're done here I'll followup via the fedora kernel bugzilla 
component or find the right mailing list.
