Problem with RTL8187B USB stick

Hello:
I'm having some problems with an wireless USB stick. In the last months
i was thinking that the driver wasn't mature enough and that was why it
wasn't working, but lately i got a new laptop, tried with it and it was
working. Both are configured the same afaik.
This are tries done with 2.6.28-r1 kernel. I have tried with 2.6.29-rc2
without any luck neither. I'm lately out of ideas.
Anyway, i'm sending the mandatory information (sorry for the huge
message). "Please" ask me for anything more i can provide.
This is the USB stick data:
