hostapd and rt2x00 cards

Hello.

I am running hostapd built from several months old sources snapshot
with Johannes Berg's patches and would like to rebuild it (and may be
the kernel also). But it will be nice to get its current status.

Johannes, may be you can write a couple of lines about it?

My current problem is connection loss while RSSI (according to iwlist
scan or iwconfig) does not drop.
