Thank, Adrian.

I have found a patch file which could generate driver_marvell.c, so I can run wpa_supplicant presently.

But still have a problem, that always loop in CONNECT_SUCCESS ? DISCONNECT ? CONNECT_SUCCESS ...

Log as below, do anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Wpa_supplicant version is 0.5.7.

Last year I had no problems using v16 with mrvl 8686 so you definitely don't need to go all the way to v18. Not sure of the diffs between v15 and v16.
You need to use marvell supplicant driver because it knows the private ioctls to use for WPA/WPA2 support. That is why you don't need to have wpa/wpa2 support in wireless extensions.

But you should be able to upgrade to v18 if you want without upgrading the entire kernel.
Wireless extensions are fairly contained. Remember to update your iw apps as well.

Dear all,

Because the kernel version is 2.4.21 and wireless extension is v15. Looking back Changing list of WIRELESS_EXT and found from v17 to v18 it has been supported WPA/WPA2 function. My question is how to upgrade wireless_extension from v15 to v18?Does it possible to upgrade excepting upgrade kernel ? Thanks.

You definitely need to use the marvell supplicant driver as Dan mentions.
There are a lot of propietary ioctls that the marvell supplicant driver uses.
Make sure supplicant config is adding marvell driver in addition to wext.

good luck,
