Problems with Senao 2511 PCMCIA and hostap monitor mode

Hello all,


I recently got a Senao 2511 PCMCIA card, and I got hostap setup
(in-kernel, 2.6.19), and it seems to work. I can scan for networks,
Master mode seems to work as well. The only problems I have are
related to monitor mode.

I tried to start kismet with the card, it works, and kismet sees the
networks around me, but it does not log data packets, only LLC type
packets. Using tcpdump on the wlan interface after setting it to
monitor mode doesnt work either.

Am I missing something obvious? I also tried to set the essid to that
of my wlan to sniff but I don't get anything either except beacons..
