Hello.
I have a Ralink card and I've built linux kernel 2.6.23-rc3 with
rt2x00 git branch merged in it. This driver supports master mode and
they say development hostap pranch can turn it into an access point.
I've build git hostap with the only changes to .config in lines
CONFIG_DRIVER_DEVICESCAPE=y
WIRELESS_DEV=/mnt/7/tmp/rt2x00
in hostap.conf I just inserted
driver=devicescape
when I start hostap I get at the output:
Configuration file: /home/sacha-utf/work/hostap-build/hostapd/hostapd.conf
Could not set passive scanning: Unknown error 18446744073709551615
wlan0: ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: No such file or directory
Could not set preamble for kernel driver
Using interface wlan0 with hwaddr 00:1a:70:36:f4:d9 and ssid 'test'
wlan0: ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: No such file or directory
Could not set preamble for kernel driver
think it is not ok, and I do not see ssid broadcasts anyway.
Can we try to fix it?
PS All this took place on alpha architecture, 64bit if it matters,
