question about channel switching delay

Sorry for not stating clearly. The card is first in Managed mode and its essid is "Net1". I want to change its essid to "Net2" and change its mode to Ad-Hoc. The latency of each action is about 12 ms. But the sum of two latencies is 33 ms.

Thanks,
YAN
