Googling DWL-G650M WPA2 suggests you're probably right.  I will be
more careful about reading reviews next time I buy hardware :-)

WPA works, so I guess I'll just use that until Atheros releases a
madwifi HAL for their MIMO chipsets (http://madwifi.org/ticket/181).
