Newbie wpa_supplicant question

I'm very appreciate your prompt response,  Jouni,

I got one persistent error message from the wpa_supplicant.

When submitting wpa_cli status command, wpa_supplicant
reports in  debug output:

EAPOL: SUPP_PAE entering state AUTHENTICATED
EAPOL: startWhen --> 0
RX ctrl_iface - hexdump_ascii(len=6):
     53 54 41 54 55 53                                 STATUS
ioctl[SIOCGIFADDR]: Cannot assign requested address
EAPOL: authWhile --> 0

Does it confirms your previous notes about ipw2200?

Do you think trying NDIS wrapper driver could make sense?
(Currently I have intel ipw2200 embeded and Atheros madwifi pcmci
cards available).

Do I have any other options besides dual booting with windows?
