Well, I was hoping that wpa_supplicant can use the encrypted version
of this password :) (like it does for psk).
The same network is connected by other users of this network (who are
using windows OS) by configuring to get the user credentials by
windows logon. So, basically the password is the same as for the
windows account. This works well for windows users and is reasonably
secure as the password is not saved anywhere in plain text.
I would like to have the same level of convenience and security in
linux. Could wpa be configured in such a manner that it can use my
linux user password (or even root password) - ***but which is not
stored in plain text anywhere in the system*** ?
