If the AP: 11-22-33-44-55-66 is in the scanning result of the card driven with hostap, "iwconfig wlan0 ap 11-22-33-44-55-66" will make the card associate with the relative AP, but if the AP is not in the scanning result, the card will do nothing, FYI.
