If you are really using Host AP driver, someone has changed the default
interface names and if whoever did this decided to use eth0 and eth2
instead of the normally used wifi0 and wlan0, the new prefixes are
confusing at best..
If eth0 is wifi0, you should be using the other interface (maybe eth2?
something with the same MAC address). If that part is not clear, please
send 'ifconfig -a' output to show all interfaces.
In addition, renaming wifi0 and wlan0 to something else is not going to
work very well with the latest wpa_supplicant code due to filtering of
wireless events is automatically fixed for the standard interface names,
but not if something else is used.
