recommended prism wireless adapters

Folks,
 
I'd like to try my hand at building a linux-based wireless AP. Could
anyone recommend a PCI (or USB) wireless adapter compatible with the
hostap driver/utilities? I'm currently based in Thailand so I would need
something widely available. I've heard that Gemtek has cards based on
the Prism chipset.
