That's ok. I'll remove the procfs stuff once madwifi driver code from
the BSD branch get merged into CVS trunk.. At the moment, CVS head does
not really seem to work at all with hostapd, so I don't really care that
much about it before the merge has happened.

Please note that I wrote the email you are quoting before merging in
support for IEEE80211_IOCTL_GETSTASTATS.. The current CVS snapshot does
indeed work with interim accounting.
