This is somewhat difficult to parse and I don't understand how this
description and the WDS link are related to eachother. Could you please
start with a simpler configuration by removing the WDS link completely
and using Ethernet as the backbone between the APs?

If you are using bridging, this eth0 should likely be replaced with br0.
