Do you have anything special in the wpa_supplicant configuration (e.g.,
eapol_version field set to 2)?

Which AP is this? Can you get any debug/event information from it?

Can you send a sniffer log of both the failed attempt with
wpa_supplicant and successful attempt with a Windows client?
