Hi,
I have ASUS WL-100(prism 2.5 based) pcmcia 802.11b WLAN card and
HostAP-driver(0.2.6) and HpstAP-utilities(0.2.6) installed on RedHat
FC3.
When i insert this WLAN card in my laptop following two messages are
displayed,
besides others, in /var/log/mesages
Jan 9 21:45:34 localhost wait_for_sysfs[4297]: either wait_for_sysfs
(udev 039) needs an update to handle the device '/class/net/wifi0'
properly (no device symlink) or the sysfs-support of your device's
driver needs to be fixed, please report to
<linux-hotplug-devel at lists.sourceforge.net>

properly (no device symlink) or the sysfs-support of your device's
driver needs to be fixed, please report to

Even though card works perfectly, but i don't understand above messages.
Can anybody explain what above messages are?
Also whenever i use "iwpriv" with any option, following messages are
show in /var/log/mesages
Jan 9 22:24:56 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request
SIOCGIWPRIV too small (16<88)
Jan 9 22:24:56 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request
SIOCGIWPRIV too small (32<88)
Jan 9 22:24:56 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request
SIOCGIWPRIV too small (64<88)
but the command "iwpriv" works as it should means gives the desired
output. So i am also wondering what
these messages are about.
Any feedback is appreciated
-ajeet.
