One pci card and one pcmcia card in same PC

PC: 166MMX
OS: Fedora 2 kernel-2.6.9-1.6_FC2
Driver: hostap-driver-0.2.5
wlan0: pcmcia based WL200 (prism2, fw 1.5.6)
wlan1: 3com pci card (prism2.5, fw 1.7.4)
When the both cards are inserted the device names caused harms. The
iwconfig -v shows:
iwconfig Version 26

wifi0 Recommend Wireless Extension v14 or later,

Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v16.
wlan1 Recommend Wireless Extension v14 or later,
Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v16.

Should the dev22535 device be wifi1? If I do "ifdown wlan1" and "ifup
wlan1" the wifi1 device is changed to dev22535.
How to avoid this?
