about "hostap_join_ap"

A question pls:

when host_roam = 2 (with iwconfig wlan0 host_roaming 2), roaming is disabled and the host is responsible for initiating scans and issuing a Join Request, so how the driver gets the last_scan_result, which is used in hostap_join_ap()?
