Firmware load and procfs

Sorry if I wasted anyone's time with my post.  I actually got the card
working.   It was a simple mistake of not editing my setup files.  I
thought I already edited /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia to turn on pcmcia, but
I didn't so I was looking everywhere else for the problem.  Now the
card is even working at startup.

My /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia now reads:
PCMCIA=yes
PCIC=yenta_socket
PCIC_OPTS=do_scan=0
CORE_OPTS=
CARDMGR_OPTS=-f

Instead of:
PCMCIA=no
PCIC=
PCIC_OPTS=do_scan=0
CORE_OPTS=
CARDMGR_OPTS=-f
