I'm trying to set up an open AP on my linux box using the hostap-0.1.3
SuSE RPM package on SuSE 9.1 Pro with a D-Link DWL-520 (i dont remember
the revision of the card, but it worked in my old linux box as an AP
before I upgraded).

Whenever a Windows XP machine tries to connect to it, this is whats in
the log:

wlan0: STA 00:02:2d:32:c0:f2 IEEE 802.11: did not acknowledge
authentication response
Data frame from not associated STA 00:02:2d:32:c0:f2

Here's some of the latest output from dmesg:

wlan0: dropped received packet from non-associated STA 00:02:2d:32:c0:f2
(type=0x02, subtype=0x00)

wlan0: STA 00:02:2d:32:c0:f2 TX rate lowered to 55
wlan0: 00:02:2d:32:c0:f2 assoc_cb - frame was not ACKed

and here's the output of hostap_diag wlan0:

Host AP driver diagnostics information for 'wlan0'

NICID: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) Mini-PCI (SST parallel flash))
PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.1.1
STAID: id=0x001f v1.8.0 (station firmware)

If anyone can help get this working, it would be much appriciated.

Thanks in advance,

Grant
