prism54?? That would have been useful information in the first message..
If you mean Prism54.org driver, it does not yet support WPA as the
client..

Yes, you can see it, e.g., in 'dmesg' output after initializing the
drivers (wifi0: STA: id=0x1f v1.8.3) or with hostap_diag in the utils
package.
