PCF?

Market acceptance is everything. The early Cisco/Aironet 802.11 stuff 
supported PCF. No one used it.

You also take a bigger overhead hit with PCF vs DCF.

Much to everyone's suprise DCF worked "good enuff" with hidden nodes.

Isn't it strange how CA sounds "better" than CD? :-)
