IAPP and HostAP

Hi to all,

The hostapd daemon uses the IAPP functionality. I need a clarification why IAPP is reuquired? any link for to get the information.

Is setting of iapp=eth0 flag in hostapd.conf sufficent to enable IAPP ? Can I specify the iapp=wlan0?

I am executing following commands on ap:
  brctl addbr br0
  brctl addif br0 eth0
  brctl addif br0 wlan0
  ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0 
  ifconfig wlan0 0.0.0.0
  ifconfig br0 192.168.6.x

How can i verify that iapp is working well?

any help would be appreciated?
