Doubt reg installation of PCMCIA

Dear Team ,
I need to install pcmcia followed by hostap driver. previously I 
installed hostap over the kernel-pcmcia and my cardmgr stopped working.
I removed the pcmcia rpm and now what to reinstall both of them. Can any 
one tell me a correct version of pcmcia and the hostap (if possible 
where can i download them ) that I should install .
My linux laptop's details are as follow:
Redhat linux release 9
Kernel 2.4.20-6 on an i686
