Hi all,
I believe I may have hosed my Linksys WMP11 PCI card. I successfully
upgraded the station firmware to v1.4.9 using prism2_srec (hostap_utils
v0.1.3). Feeling good about that I upgraded the primary firmware from
v1.x.x to v1.1.1, but I didn't include the station firmware with the
command line to upgrade the pri firmware.
Is there a way to flash the sta firmware back on the card? These are the
messages I get in 'dmesg' (/var/log/syslog) after a reboot:
hostap_crypt: registered algorithm 'NULL'
hostap_pci: 0.1.3 - 2004-02-08 (Jouni Malinen <jkmaline at cc.hut.fi>)
hostap_pci: Registered netdevice wlan0
prism2_hw_init: initialized in 10 ms

wlan0: CMD=0x0001 => res=0x7f, resp0=0x0001

When I try to flash the sta firmware using:
# ./hostap-utils-0.1.3/prism2_srec -r -v wlan0 ./1.4.9/sf010409.hex

Missing wlan component info
Could not read wlan RIDs
I'm assuming I get this because my system doesn't see that I have a
'wlan0' since the card isn't loaded at boot.
Any help would be appreciated. :)
Best regards,
