Yes it is the scan result, essid is correct.

Yes that works - but i need the manual roaming in the hostap driver

Yes i tried a /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart - same result

They are the same as befor the reinstallation...

No, I try this as soon as I'm back at my Linux machine. I don't think this
is the problem, since the card (by magic?!) connected to one of the AP
yesterday - but never since.
What about the wifi device? Could some plz explain this to me? Why does it
exist?
