Please note the missing "UP" on that line.. The interface is not up and
ifconfig does not include such interfaces in the list. "ifconfig -a"
can be used to include all interfaces.

However, the MAC address of the card does not look correct. In addition,
your IP address mask/broadcast configuration. Please send "dmesg" output
and list of commands you used to load firmware for the DWL-520 Rev E1.
It looks like the card was not initialized correctly.
