i don't really know how it works -
i guess it just snarfs up frames that have macs that it knows about on
the ethernet side

i do see is associate with hostap (with it's own mac) in the logs - i'm
willing to experiment do you have a suggestion for which program to use 
to diagnose what's going back and forth?
