Encrypt KEY ??

How do you enter encrypt key into ifcfg-wlan0, KEY=?? ,  8957801164
Ihave a ten digit key that has to be entered to make link with a
2wire DSL Modem ethernet/wireless from Sbcglobal,net.
I can enter the key code in WindowsXP/dual boot with Linux FC2 on the 
same Laptop ,
Dell Inspiron 8600 and XP will communicate with modem.
But how do I enter the key code ? , in what format ?
