Any way you look at it, the problem is the Ricoh bridge. If you havent
tried it... put "pci=biosirq" on the boot prompt, this can help... there
is several other things that might also help. use external pcmcia and put :
"irq_mode=0 pci_csc=0 poll_interval=100" in the pcic opts of the pcmcia.
Try this along with pci=bioirq... usually a combination of these will
solve the prob. IF the prob CAN be solved. Personnally i HAVE come across
hardware combinations that just WOULD NOT work, period. Usually this was a
kernal version thing, and a later/earlier version WOULD work, something else
to try...
