I've been having a problem trying to setup WPA with my prism card. I
read through the README and crawled through the archives to no avail.
Here's my problem.
-------------------
Whenever I issue "wpa_supplicant -dd -D hostap -w
-c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -iwlan0" I get the error below:
Configuration file '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf' ->
'/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf'

Failed to enable WPA in the driver.
---------------
Based on the above error, it looks as if I don't have WPA support. So to
confirm I ran hostap_diag:
Host AP driver diagnostics information for 'wlan0'
NICID: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) Mini-PCI (SST parallel flash))
PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.1.1
STAID: id=0x001f v1.8.0 (station firmware)
So it looks like I'm running the latest firmware, but when I issue:
'iwpriv wlan0 wpa 1':
# iwpriv wlan0 wpa 1
Invalid command : wpa
There's no WPA support.
dmesg gives me the following whenever I try and run wpa_supplicant.
wlan0: LinkStatus=2 (Disconnected)
wlan0: LinkStatus: BSSID=44:44:44:44:44:44
wlan0: prism2_param: unknown param 37
wlan0: prism2_param: unknown param 36
Any one have some insight into this problem...Thanks in advance.
