pcmcia-cs support in CVS?

Does hostap CVS still support pcmcia-cs, or do I have to use kernel
PCMCIA?  I ask because I've never been able to get kernel PCMCIA to
work on my laptop (Toshiba Portege 3490CT, ToPIC100)

hostap-driver-0.1.2 seems to work OK for me under 2.4.23 and pcmcia-cs
3.2.5, but hostap CVS gives huge numbers of unresolved symbols (eg
pcmcia_parse_tuple)

Before I spend too much effort trying to figure out what's wrong, is
this still *supposed* to work?
