Hi,
I have a fairly old D-Link DWL-650 - cardctl ident:
product info: "D", "Link DWL-650 11Mbps WLAN Card", "Version 01.02", ""
manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002
function: 6 (network)
I'm running linux 2.6.3, and have grabbed the latest devel hostap
sources from CVS. The hostap and hostap_cs modules load with the
follwing messages:
hostap_cs: Registered netdevice wifi0
wifi0: Interrupt, but dev not OK
wifi0: Interrupt, but dev not OK
wifi0: Interrupt, but dev not OK
hostap_cs: index 0x01: Vcc 3.3, irq 11, io 0x0100-0x013f
prism2_hw_init: initialized in 108 ms
wifi0: NIC: id=0x8008 v1.0.1
wifi0: PRI: id=0x15 v0.3.0
wifi0: STA: id=0x1f v0.7.6
wifi0: defaulting to host-based encryption as a workaround for firmware
bug in Host AP mode WEP
wifi0: defaulting to bogus WDS frame as a workaround for firmware bug in
Host AP mode WDS
wifi0: registered netdevice wlan0
iwconfig shows two interfaces, wifi0 and wlan0. When I try and set an
ip for either interface using ifconfig, I get a kernel panic (sorry,
don't have the output handy, my machine is remote right now).
Any ideas? I'll send the panic message later (how can you get it to
save to a file?)
Cheers,
Chris
