Hello,

We have connected 2 access points using them for point-to-point connection

info:
Output power: 0.1W
Frequency: 5.850Ghz
Tx antenna line loss:1-2dB
Tx antenna gain: 28dBi
Path Length: 2.6miles
Rx antenna gain: no info
Rx transmission line loss: 1-2dB
Rx Signal: no info
Rx threshold: -73dBm

+)Device 1 has bigger and stronger antenna than device 2
+)Device 1 is higher than device 2.

Output log from device 1)

MacAddr: 00:05:5d:99:70:d5, State: joined, AID: 2007 wlan0
Authentication Type: Open System
Encryption: OFF
WLAN Mode: 5GHz 54Mbps (802.11a)
Power Save Mode: OFF
Rx Data Rate: 12, RxSignalStrength: 27, AckSignalStrength: 15
MSDU Data Mcast Mgmt Ctrl Errors
Rx 343635 248501 1 0 0 0
Tx 528 89691 0 0 0 1140448

Output log from device 2)

MacAddr: 00:05:5d:99:5d:13, State: joined, AID: 2007 wlan0
Authentication Type: Open System
Encryption: OFF
WLAN Mode: 5GHz 54Mbps (802.11a)
Power Save Mode: OFF
Rx Data Rate: 12, RxSignalStrength: 27, AckSignalStrength: 18
MSDU Data Mcast Mgmt Ctrl Errors
Rx 1397228 1027643 8787 2596 0 0
Tx 71 1082 0 0 0 5456

Questions:

1. What is the meaning of RxSignalStrength?
2. What is the meaning of AckSignalStrength?
3. How can I lower the amount of duplicate packets
4. From the Tx and Rx values, can I draw conclusion for the aligning of the antennas?
5. Is it possible one of the antennas to be aligned properly, but the other not, so I can get very high ratio of failed ack. packets and the transfer to be slow because of this issue?

Thank you.
