That sort of blinking means it is not associated with an AP. Check you
signal strength/quality and make sure there is nothing out of the ordinary
required by the AP you are trying to associate with (e.g. WPA, 802.1x).
Additionally, check dmesg. The driver outputs messages there when it
associates or disassociates with an AP.
