Make sure that prism2_srec is also from CVS.  Make sure that /proc is
mounted.  See the contents of /proc/net/hostap/wlan0/debug and check if
the it contains lines beginning with "pci=" and "sram_type="

As usually, more useful information can be obtained by running dmesg.
